Monthly Update // June

Welcome to summer! Hopefully it will be here to stay for a little while.

June has been busy for me! Quickly approaching are Independence Day, my relative's birthday, and a college visit. The preparations for all of these future things are being established, so let's reflect on all of the past things that happened this month.

The Good, The Bad, The Bookish

About two weeks ago my friend and I spent a day together eating lunch and visiting the bookstore. I bought One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (which I am required to read for my summer classwork) and Hunger Journeys by Maggie de Vries. You can expect reviews and/or currently reading posts for both of these novels once I begin to read them.

I also read and reviewed Burnt Mountain by Anne Rivers Siddons, reviewed Othello after reading it for my English class, and published a currently reading post while I was reading Night by Elie Wiesel. (I have since finished it.) Give them a read!

Up Close And Personal

This month I finished my sophomore year of high school. Hooray! I've begun my summer classwork, and signed up for a university visit in mid-July. Until then, I plan to continue with my academic work and my actual work (as in, my job). In fact, the first day of my job was the first of June, so that happened this month too.

In the meantime, I've also been doing some low-key chillaxing. I've been watching some movies, texting friends, and using a colouring book that I bought. I hope to renovate my bedroom soon, so I've been organizing, rearranging, and cleaning it.

What did you do this June? Leave a comment telling me three things you're looking forward to in July!
